Office Action Responses
Receipt of an Office Action indicates the Examining Attorney for your trademark application has questions or concerns that must be addressed before the trademark application can proceed towards registration. Many action items are minor issues called informalities that can be dealt with quickly by our office. Substantive issues will require your input, assistance and, most likely, the preparation of an in-depth response.
Note that the response to the Office Action must be filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office by a certain date, often six months after the Office Action issue date. This is an absolute deadline. If the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office does not receive the response by the above deadline, the application will be deemed abandoned.
